Non-Hazardous Waste Management
Labygema is a non–hazardous waste manager for the waste recovery operation R10 Land Treatment, resulting in benefits to agriculture or ecological improvement. GRU-1525. The main treated wastes are:
- Slaughterhouse, canning and fishing industry wastewater sludge
- Fruits, vegetables and grains industry wastewater sludge
- Dairy industry wastewater sludge
- Brewing and alcohol beverage industry wastewater sludge
- Urban sludge
- Other wastes

The agricultural implementation of treated sludge is performed under the following standards:

In collaboration with different partners and/or collaborating associates, Labygema delivers waste suitable for its management by using an anaerobic co-digestion process that is carried out in different urban sewage treatment plants and biogas plants in order to obtain electric power from waste.

The non–hazardous wastes used have a high load of organic matter and therefore may be used as substrates in this recovery operation, prioritizing in this way the management hierarchy.
Suitable non–hazardous waste is transported in a liquid-thick state in tankers to be unloaded in anaerobic digesters in plants located throughout the country.
